Implementing SQF Systems



Prerequisite(s): A good understanding and working knowledge of food safety management systems is essential.

Learners should read a copy of the SQF Food Safety Code: Food Manufacturing Edition 9 prior to attending this training course

This course will provide Learners with an in-depth understanding of the significantly revised SQF Food Safety Code: Food Manufacturing Edition 9. It is designed to equip Learners with the skills and knowledge to successfully implement or update SQF Systems in preparation for 3rd party SQF certification or re-certification audits.

Upon successful completion, you will:

  • Understand the reasons for the changes to the SQF Code, including industry and GFSI developments.
  • Understand the changes from Edition 8.1, including changes to the format and existing elements, as well as new requirements and elements.
  • Be able to develop, implement and maintain an SQF Food Safety Management System.
  • Understand how the SQF audit process is carried out
  • Have an understanding of the SQF Code that meets the training requirements for employment as a Primary or substitute SQF Practitioner

The course is intended for QA Managers and their Food Safety Team members, including substitute SQF practitioners and other facility managers, as well as SQF professionals and consultants.
