Carbon-one

Dedicated to Fighting Climate Change
We were founded to make carbon measurement simple, affordable, and credible for the companies that need it most.
Proudly Canadian and founder-led, we bring over four decades of carbon expertise across the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector – from food and beverage to personal care products, and beyond. Our journey began in late 2021 in response to mounting pressure on companies to disclose their climate performance. At the time, businesses faced limited and often impractical solutions, despite already being stretched thin by tight margins and complex challenges.

With deep sector knowledge and a commitment to practical impact, we set out to change that. CarbonOne was built to provide a simple, affordable, and credible way for CPG companies to measure, report, and reduce their carbon emissions - helping brands of all sizes meet growing climate expectations with confidence.

Second Harvest

Second Harvest is Canada’s largest food rescue organization and a global thought leader on food
waste and perishable food redistribution. We rescue unsold surplus food from thousands of food
businesses from across the supply chain to redistribute it to non-profits in every province and
territory. This prevents harmful greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere while improving
access to nutrition for millions of Canadians experiencing food insecurity. Beyond food rescue and
redistribution, Second Harvest is deeply involved in advocacy, research, training and education. Its
groundbreaking reports, such as “The Avoidable Crisis of Food Waste,” provide critical data and
insights to inform public policy and educate the public on sustainable food systems.
