Implementing SQF 2000 Systems

Course Details:
Safe Quality Food (SQF) programs are fully integrated food safety and quality management protocols designed specifically for the food industry with application to all links of the food supply chain. SQF certification provides an independent and external validation that a product, process or service complies with international, regulatory and/or other specified standards. It enables food suppliers to give assurances that food has been produced, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards. At the end of the program, you will be able to:

  1. Describe the SQF System principles, activities and terminology
  2. Discuss the SQF 2000 Code Perform a hazard analysis using the 12 steps of HACCP as a guide
  3. Perform a risk assessment for quality
  4. Implement and maintain SQF Systems
  5. Develop, validate and verify your food safety and quality plans and SQF System
  6. Use sound techniques to maintain and improve your food safety and quality controls
  7. Understand appropriate use of the SQF logo

This training meets the SQF training requirements to be designated as an SQF Practitioner and is a prerequisite for registration as an SQF Consultant (upon successful completion of online exam).

NOTE: An understanding of the application of HACCP principles is mandatory for anyone attending.
