Whats on your plate
Do you know how egg producers get omega-3 fatty acids ¬– known to reduce chances of heart disease – in their eggs? How about that every part of a pig “but the oink” is utilized? Or that producers do things on the farm everyday to be environmentally friendly? Most consumers don’t either. What’s on your plate? (WOYP) is hoping to change that. This educational program was recently launched to encourage consumers to get smart about what’s on their plate. Increasingly, people are becoming less aware about where their food comes from and the importance of agriculture in their daily lives.
