The Alberta Food Processors Association (AFPA) is committed to improving health and safety in the workplace for food and beverage processors in Alberta. AFPA, Alberta Human Resources and Employment and the Workers' Compensaton Board have partnered to respond to industry needs by offering the Partnership Program. This is a voluntary program that is designed to encourage the development of effective workplace health, safety and disability management systems.

Benefits of the Partnership Program
A Workplace Health and Safety Program can improve the safety of your workplace as well as:- Reduce accidents
- Reduce costly consequences, both human and financial, due to accidents
- Improve work practices and productivity
- Improve communication throughout your company
- Improve employee morale and attitudes towards safety
By participating in this program, AFPA members have the opportunity to receive a rebate of up to 20% of their annual WCB premium.

- Regularly scheduled training courses in Edmonton and Calgary that are designed for the food industry
- Assistance in locating Peer or External Auditors certified to audit to AFPA standards
- Quality Assurance Reviews of your audits
